Who I/We Are
With Our Love Lives On gradually emerging into the world & many new subscribers having joined the list, I wanted to make a formal introduction of myself and the company.
When I started OurLoveLivesOn.com, I wasn’t trying to build a company for the sake of making money.
I was responding to the love I have for my family and friends — my mentors and the idea of giving back to generations to come.
I can’t bear for stories and lives to be forgotten, for my future kids and to not know the rich history that they come from and the wisdom that their family holds.
Coming from my background in designing and building software, I felt that simple technology in a simple interface could unlock huge results for families in a way that no other product on the market is doing.

Preserving family history means building bridges between generations
The “How” and “Why” Matter

Me and my husband. We are the Onuffers!
We interact with companies every single day. A lot of them are not life-enriching, to say the least.
I recently had a dispute with Airbnb because they put my parents in harm’s way of a large animal the Airbnb host owned and they wouldn’t give me a refund so I could easily get them a safe place to stay that night.
This is an example of greed-led profit-over-people. Of a company that has bad values.
When I say the “how” matters, I mean that the actions we take all have an impact on others. Native Americans say that our actions will last for the next seven generations, promoting future-oriented thinking, selflessness, and sustainability. Buddhists say that our actions radiate out as if we are all wrapped in the same woven net - affecting a wide cast of people and ultimately coming back to us.
I’m being conscious of my “how” and my “why” as I build and promote Our Love Lives On.
Core Values
Money will never be the core value.
People are. Animals and the planet are.
Love is at the core of what I want to do. Integrity is the how.
Volunteering in hospice is a lot of what goes into developing Our Love Lives On. That means that I don’t want to take advantage of those who are generously allowing me to get to know them and their life stories while they’re in a vulnerable position.
I want to serve people, not the other way around.
Generosity is a core value. I plan to make the price of Our Love Lives On accessible to everyone, free to my first hospice family since they have given so much time and love to me, and have a sizable portion of sales go towards charities supporting good causes.
I want to be a rising tide that lifts all boats.

A Final Note

I appreciate each and every one of you who is reading and giving me your support. Thank you so much.
As a weekly reflection question, I encourage you to think on:
What are the values that I want to see more of in the world?
If you know someone who might be interested in trying legacy keeping, I encourage you to send them this email!
P.S. I love hearing from you. What are your plans for the holidays?
Until next time,
