This is My Saga

Yesterday I had one of those moments that gave me a bird’s eye view of where I’ve been.

I can’t believe how far I’ve come in life. From once having such a hard time that I could never imagine bringing kids into the world, to getting married, settling down, and being in the early stages of preparing for eventual parenthood.

Life surprises us, especially those who have the most plans.

As I count down the months until I turn 30, the choices I make - on what is no longer a blank canvas - appear less abstract to me. I’m more deliberate these days with my attention and intention. I reflect carefully on how I want to spend my one, precious life.

This is the energy that I bring to creating my first public (!) mobile app, This is My Saga. Some of you might be wondering…what are you working on?

My “Why”

A picture of my dad on my wedding day.

With it dawning on me how precious the limited time we have is, my mission is to help us make the most out of it.

This is My Saga helps individuals savor what they’ve experienced and make aligned choices in the future.

I am creating it with love: thoughtful reflection prompts, gentle motivators (no manipulative streaks).

Through my first product, I’m also taking steps towards creating an organization that will house the perpetual secure storage of family stories captured on my second upcoming app, My Family Saga!

This overarching goal is informed by my work in hospice and my awe of my older family members and friends who have experienced so much in life and have so much to share. I hate not having their stories somewhere memory-proof.

This is My Saga is targeted to be released in January 2026. If everything goes well, My Family Saga will also be live before the end of 2026!

What Happened Yesterday?

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen people making fun of the ecstatic face that people have at the Oscar’s when they are on camera and the award is announced.

Well, I had that face in my Zoom box for the second time yesterday.

The first time was when it was announced that my team had won first place at a company hackathon out of over 150 people. I was seriously. not. expecting. that.

Then yesterday, in a group call being led by an author that I look up to, Rebecca Campbell, she spoke directly to me and asked what I’m working on.

Rebecca Campbell is one of the foremost authors at Hay House.

Rebecca Campbell is crazy successful. She’s written many best selling books, spoken at sold-out events at name brand places around the world, and had a previous career as Creative Director at a London ad agency.

What she said yesterday shook me. She said that I reminded her of when she was first getting started as an author and had just decided to write a bit everyday.

In that moment I felt like I was being seen and invited to step into a bigger role than I ever imagined for myself.

Because my hopes and dreams for My Saga and its Saga-children is that it touches the lives of individuals and families, including my family, for generations. And maybe it will…

A Final Note

Thanks for Being Here

It is my hope that My Saga and The Weekly Saga newsletter adds value to your life, and life into your days.

I will leave you with a reflection from an early user:

“Everyone has a legacy. At first I didn’t think I have one, but then someone said that over decades you accumulate a lot of stories.”

If you know someone who might be interested in trying life journaling or legacy keeping, I encourage you to send them this email so they can sign up for the waitlist and hear about opportunities to receive discounts for feedback.

P.S. I’d love to hear from you. How are you doing?

Until next time,

Alice
