The Life of a Founder
You, as one of my early readers, might have noticed what this journey has looked like. Linear progress in some ways, like code building on more code, resulting in the beta products shaping up. Changes in direction in some cases – rebranding, shifting priorities, and changing my mind back and forth.
This has resulted in where I am now:
Our Love Lives On, the family legacy app, is on the web for a small group of users. It’s in a very basic form, ready to keep taking shape. Let me know if you want to experience early access!

Starlight Saga is back on my plate for January 2026. I had decided quietly to table the journaling app as the family legacy one takes priority, but it’s just so darn fun to work on it, and I want it for myself. So it’s back on.

I volunteer in hospice almost every day of the week, just taking off a day every now and then when things come up. I’ve decided that productivity isn’t correlated by how long I’m typing at my computer. Developing deep experience with end-of-life care, giving myself brain breaks, and building authentic relationships with people I want to serve.

Why End-of-Life as an Inspiration? Why Now?

A sunset in New York City.
Someone asked me this recently.
It’s because I’ve always been kind of an existential person, with a lot of older people in my life, and their stories have shaped me.
I want to capture them for good, so I don’t forget them. And have a place to honor them.
And I don’t want to lose my own stories, highlights, and lessons.
